Anna TENCER Obituary
At home, on Friday, May 25, 2012, at the age of one hundred and five. Beloved wife of the late Morris. Loving mother and mother-in-law of David and Glynis, Jack and Beverly, Alan and Signe. Cherished and devoted grandmother of Elyse and Danny Minogue, and Kenneth Tencer; Andrew Tencer, and Erika and Jonathan Silver; Holly and Chris Boston. Proud great-grandmother of Marc and Sara Minoque; Laura, Tommy and Sophia Tencer; Atara and Tova Stolovitsky. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Joseph (Frances), Gertrude (Jack), Anna (Morris), Gedalia, Meyer (Esther), Moe (Betty). The family would like to thank the staff of Place Kensington for the special care they gave Anna. She was incredibly strong in body and soul and will remain forever in our hearts. Graveside service on Tuesday, May 29 at 3:30 p.m. at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.

I knew Morris in the days when he ran the newsstand on St. Jacques near Peel. I dealt with him as a copyboy at The Gazette.

Dear David,
Allison forwarded this announcement to me. I am very sorry to learn of her death, but to think of the very long life she had and the time you and the family had to share in it. I remember going to your house in Outremont and meeting her, your father, Jack and Alan. We were soooo young.
She was so proud of you.
My condolences to you, Glynnis, Kenneth, Elyse and their families. The Adath Israel is filled with people we miss. I wish I could be there to say this all in person. But I want you to know that my thoughts are with you.
