Anne Anderson Obituary

Anne Fadely Anderson died at her home on September 14th, 2017. She was 89. Anne was born in Birmingham, attended Woodlawn High School and was one of the first women to graduate from Howard College School of Pharmacy (now Samford University), where she met her husband Roy Anderson. They were married at Wilson Chapel 67 years ago. She was a Phi Mu, a member of Lambda Kappa Sigma, Women's Club of Birmingham, and the DAR. She worked part time at numerous Birmingham pharmacies, but her first and favorite vocation was wife, homemaker, and mother to three daughters. Anne was a long time member of South Roebuck Baptist Church where she served in Sunbeams, GA's, and two week long Vacation Bible Schools. She also enjoyed Liberty Park Baptist Church with her mother. Following the end of the Vietnam War, Anne sponsored three refugee families. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at the lake and beach. She is preceded in death by her parents, W.L. "Doc" Fadely and Luenell Fadely, as well as her brothers John, Donald, and James Grady "Butch" Fadely. Anne is survived by her husband Roy Anderson, their three daughters, Rachel Harden, Roxanne Venable (Bob), and April Craig (Johnny Blue), their seven grandchildren, Sam Harden (Kristin), Laura Ruth Venable, Joseph Venable (Susanna), Marianne Venable, Johnny Blue Craig Jr (Sarah), Carly Craig, Cassidy Craig, and three great grandchildren, Robbie and Gregory Harden, and Davey Jean Venable. The family is grateful for the love and support of Sheila Camp and Hospice Services of Alabama. Family will receive friends on Monday, September the 18th at 10:00 AM with the service following at 11:00 at South Roebuck Baptist Church.
