Scotia ? Anne Louise Fetter, 87, of Scotia, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on October 15, 2022 after several years of declining health. She had been a resident of the Glendale Home for the past year. Anne was born March 7, 1935 in Worcester, MA, the only child of Violet Conte Smith and Arthur Granville Smith. She was named after both of her grandmothers, Anne Hopewell Smith and Luisa Tancredi Conte.

In her early childhood she and her parents lived in Ithaca, NY and Arlington, MA, and returned to Schenectady in 1945 to care for her terminally ill grandmother. Anne attended Schenectady schools - Howe School, Central Park Junior High and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1952. As an RN, Anne was actively involved in medical-surgical direct patient care and private duty for 16 years, moving into management as the first Assistant Director of Nursing at Baptist Retirement Center until her retirement in 1978. For the next ten years, she was the owner of The Country Florist in Burnt Hills.

Anne was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Scotia since 1956. She served on Consistory as Deacon and Elder and was a Stephen Minister. She served one term as the President of the Women's Guild and was a member of Circle Joanna. Anne also served for several years as the Wedding Coordinator and Chair of the Flower Committee.

Anne is survived by her three children, Deborah Anne Zadrozny (Benedykt Jr.), Charles Arthur Fetter (JoAnn), and Nancy Lynn Landry (Francis), grandchildren Heather Lynn Landry, Meredith Anne Oram (Robert), Daniel Scott Landry (Laura), Eric Michael Landry (Jordan), Benedykt John Zadrozny III (Christine) and Samuel Patrick Zadrozny (Erin), and great-grandchildren Bradford Robert Oram, Daphne Meredith Oram, Parker Scott Landry, Penelope Quinn Landry, Benedykt John Zadrozny IV and Eilah Christine Zadrozny.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Pine Plains at Glendale for their compassionate care, especially Ashley, Mike, Newmar and Alicia, and Dr. David Liebers, Joshua Farrell PA and the Ellis A4 staff.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church, Scotia. After a brief gathering in Brink Hall, burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Sacandaga Road, Scotia.
