Anne GRIERSON

As the news of Anne's passing was shared at our regional conference, I was blessed with members from afar sharing their thoughts of you. You will be missed by all of us.

Anne, for over fifty years you were a kind and loyal friend. You generously drove me to meetings when I was without a vehicle, you graciously hosted our bridge games and mahjong sessions - and served the best homemade chocolate chip cookies that I have ever tasted. Your love of animals was exemplified by the excellent care that you gave my dogs on occasion when I was out of town. They liked going to your home, and I always knew that they were in good hands when they were with you.

Farewell, my friend. I miss you.

It's been many years since Anne and I carpooled to UBC in undergrad, but I am saddened by her death, even though I had not been in touch with her. She did many interesting things in her life and volunteered her time generously. A life well lived.

Anne, your Soroptimist family will miss you ... heaven has another angel tonight. Your legacy will live on in all of the lives you touched.

Anne, I'm so grateful to have known you and enjoyed your company throughout our time together in Soroptimist Club of Vancouver...Your life's contribution is gentle and sure with your commitment and dedication to enpowering women and girls...My heart goes out to your family and friends....Rest easy and watch over us as you are never far from our thoughts and prayers.

Anne ... We will miss you. Thank you for all you have done for Soroptimist. You made a difference in the lives of women and girls.

A falling flower has a thousand of trees to continue it.. Anne's kindness and compassion will be deeply missed and carried on in our community. In honour and in memory of Anne's community work, Soroptimist has funded Anne Grierson Award this year to encourage and recognize young women's volunteering efforts to make a better community and the world. We love you, Anne - our friend & sister. Rest in Peace.

Friends are a gift from God. They bring us joy and happiness. And help us in times of need. That's why I can truly say. How glad I am, I had Anne as a friend and Soroptimist sister. God bless!
