My deepest condolences to the family during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory, because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15.

Mrs. Gutterman was my 2nd grade teacher at Clough Elementary School in the early 80's. She was a wonderful teacher and made a lasting impact on my future education. She was a teacher who made you feel as if you could do anything you put your mind to. My sympathies to the family.

My name is Ada Campbell. My husband and I live on North Drive in Staunton. Our son Chris cut Mrs. Gutterman's grass for a number of years while he was in high school and also when he went to JMU. She was a delightful lady. A very intelligent individual. I recently went to Augusta Rehab to see some people. And I was surprised to see her name beside the door. My friend was almost across from your mom. The first time she wasn't there but the two other times she was. Of course, she didn't remember me but I remembered her and she could still smile when you talked to her. I will always remember that smile. Especially when you asked about her sons.
