Dear Notch and Lewandowski Family,

I send my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear Anne. I pray that the Lord will surround you and lift you during your time sorrow. May all your wonderful memories bring you comfort today and in the weeks and years to come.

I followed your journey on Anne's Caringbridge site. What a gift she left for you and all of us!

This verse is from an Esikimo Legend:

Perhaps they are not the stars,
but rather openings in heaven
where the love of our lost ones
pours through
and shines down on us
to let us know
they are happy.

I often think of this legend on clear nights when the stars are visible, and I remember that my loved ones who have gone before me are happy in Heaven.

Anne has gone no further from us than God, and God is very near.

Blessings,
Jan Holth (a friend of Sharon's)
