Marie Jenkinson

Jenkinson (Stith) Marie Jenkinson, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2014 at the age of 98. Marie was born August 17, 1916 in Dameron, WV to the late Woodson and Louella (Bradley) Jarrell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Lacy Jarrell, second husband Herman Stith and third husband Edwin Jenkinson, as well as sons William Lacy Jarrell and Larry D. Jarrell and seven siblings Walter, Lee, Leroy, Glen, Carlos, Orville and Opal. Marie is survived by sons, Ronald Eugene (Ginny) Jarrell and Charles Ray (Sharon) Stith; stepson, Dr. Edwin Oliver (Phyllis) Jenkinson; grandchildren, Johnny, Billy, Rhonda, Sheila, Ronnie, Larry Jr., Chuckie and Christina; step-grandchildren, Diana, Jennifer and Julie; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Marie will be remembered for her ability to grow awesome Pink Burpee tomatoes and for her total devotion to God and family. She was a very active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1949, and faithfully read her Bible and church magazines. She loved her church family in Canal Winchester. Marie's family will welcome friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015; burial to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg; Bishop Anthony George, presiding, along with Greg John and Jack Orum.
