So sad to hear of her passing. What a grand lady she was! She was special, and she was my godmother. What fond memories we have of our visits with her, there in Richmond, as well as in Red Deer with Ron and Joyce. She was blessed with a large family, of siblings as well as her own, always someone there. So happy to hear it was a peaceful passing. My love and thoughts are with Ron & Joyce, Linda & Wayne and families.

Auntie Annette was a continuous link all of my life to our greater family. The gatherings we enjoyed in her home over these many years helped keep us all connected to each other. Auntie Annette & Uncle Gil's home was welcoming & hospitable, we laughed a lot, shared stories, pictures, interests (hockey!) and many milestones. Auntie always remembered every special occasion in our lives. She was loved, she will be missed and we are so blessed to have had her. Our love & thoughts are with you Ron & Joyce, Linda & Wayne and families.

Annette, our matriarch, I don't know what we'll do without you. I miss you, and I'll miss our every-Sunday-morning phone visits. You were the whole family's life line to all our siblings, and you will be so sadly missed.

It is with "SUCH GREAT SADNESS" that I write 'for the last time' in your Guest Book Annette ~ my 'memories' of you are many / your beautiful knitted outfits that you used to make, the piano that you used to play, the fun parties that we used to have at your place - and - the many, many long drives (and lunches) that Ron, me and you went on after your beloved Gil passed away - and - most recently, all of our many phone conversations which always ended with me saying "I love you" and you saying right back to me "Oh! I love you too" ~ you will remain 'in my heart' forever my girl.
May you walk with ease now, seeing clearly and alongside your beloved Gil and ALL those who have "gone ahead".
"Until We Meet Again"

It is with great sadness that we learned of Annette's passing. Over the years she has been my favorite long-distance telephone companion, keeping me and my family here in Singapore up-to-date with family matters. I am now so grateful that my wife Rosemarie, my daughter Kristi, and I were able to see Annette in person four years ago in Vancouver. I have often said to my sisters, Valerie and Marie, that Annette always reminded me so much of our Mother, Leona. She was always impeccable in character, smiling, willing to do anything to ensure peoples' comfort and well-being. We extend our prayers and thoughts to all the many family members at this time of rememberance.

We always so looked forward to our trips to Vancouver and Richmond. As matriarch of her large and extended family, her home was open to all. Our youngest daughter Danielle nicknamed her "Peter Pan" as she had introduced her to the Broadway version of Peter Pan played by Mary Martin. Each time we arrived Annette had the video available for Danielle to watch. When Jim worked a year in Vancouver, he spent many weekends with Annette and Gil and they would head to Sechelt to visit family. Over the last few years when we came to Vancouver, Annette's home was always the gathering place for most celebrations. We enjoyed family, friends, wonderful stories and amazing food. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

So sad to hear that Auntie Annette has left our earthly bounds. I know she remains in our memories, and we, as so many, thank God for her time with all of us. She visited Mom, Tamara and I and the kids last year here in Sechelt. What a wonderful visit that was. The kids adored her. It was like having two Grandmas over for a visit.
I recall so many special memories of Auntie Annette as a young boy visiting Richmond with my parents. Her and Uncle Gil were always so warm and caring. I recall listening advidly to the Vancouver Canucks' games in 70s on their big Radio in the old house on Montana Rd, the big family gatherings in their back yard, her and Uncle Gil showing up at my High School graduation and, in more recent times, the many Christmas gatherings at her new condo. It has been a blessing and privilege to have known Auntie Annette. We miss her already, but are comforted by so many great memories of her.
Linda, Ron and family, our heartfelt thoughts and love are with you all,
Jason and Tamara

I have so many memories of Auntie Annette. My last memory is I was the last person to phone her that same night. Other memories are all the stories she would tell my Mom about River Road. Also the wonderful Christmas dues she would put on with so much food and all the other visit's to her place and her and Uncle Gil coming to visit us. She would usually pick us up at the airport when my Mom and I came there. Going to the mall, and out to eat,the many talks on the phone looking at all her pictures she showed us, Also September 28th 2008 she was the first of My Mom's sister's that I took for a drive in my car. I was really Happy when she came to a hockey game of mine September 6th 2000 in Port Alberni when she came here for a visit and then December 29th 2010 when she came to a hockey game of mine in Richmond and I was able to sit with her the whole time. This is the last time we sign Annette's guestbook. Even though she read them with her magnifying glass I'm sure she's reading them from above. So Annette, we would like to say thank you for all the christmas photos, the joy of seeing your decorated house during the holidays and the warm and enjoyable company that you so richly gave us. We will miss you very much and we thank God that you were in our lives.
