Annette Crabb Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2016.
Annette Langley Crabb, 44, a lifetime resident of Blytheville, Arkansas, entered "The Father's House" Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her mother's home. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for 3 years and 3 months, and she WON! Annette was "Crabby Against Cancer" and she fought well never having a negative moment. She always said, "I fight every day but I have already beat my cancer. For I refuse to let it take an inch of who I am…not my joy, peace, happiness, self-esteem, faith, or my smile. I will receive my miracle! " And she did! Annette was born on September 8, 1971 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Ruth Ann Langley and the late Billy Wayne Langley, Sr. She was a 1990 graduate of Pathway Christian Academy and earned an Associates of Arts degree from Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Annette was a faithful member of Pathway Church of God in Blytheville where she served on the Finance Committee and used her creative arts gifts to offer worship. Annette was employed as loan officer at NEAFCU for ten years, then as a customer representative at Nucor Steel of Arkansas in May of 2000. During the 16 years at Nucor, she served as an accounts payable clerk, claims administrator, and currently the Inside Sales Department as an "exceptional" customer representative. Annette's family is grateful to the Nucor "family" who has helped Annette fight during her journey with cancer in such amazing ways including a "Special Annette Fund" which is being used to help meet the financial needs of this fight. Annette was an active member of Relay for Life and American Women in the Metals Industry. She always helped with the annual LeBonhuer Golf Tournament managing the Sales Boutique and making sure customers received special gifts. Annette was preceded in death by her precious daddy, Billy Wayne Langley, Sr. She was a "daddy's girl" and found peace in knowing he would welcome her into her eternal home… that daddy always referred to as "The Father's House". She is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Langley of Blytheville, her children, Hillary and Colton Crabb, and a granddaughter, Scarlett Grace Berry, born May 13, 2016 to Hillary and Drew Berry. Being too young and Glam-orous to be a grandmother, Annette is called "Glammy"! She is also survived by "the love of her life", Lance Eatmon. Annette also left behind three sisters, one brother and their spouses: Tammy Langley Looney and Phillip, Lisa Langley Antinori and Philip, Shelley Nikko Foiles and Ken, and Billy Wayne Langley, Jr. and his wife Jennifer. Her nieces and nephews: Brandon, Kendra and Ryker Lewis, Kristen, Justin and Mason Phillips, Allie and Kyle Robbins, Jessica and Phillip Matthew Looney, Jacob, Emily and Ashton Foiles, Dillon, Noah and Adaira Langley. She is also survived by the father of her children, Charlie Crabb and his wife, Tyler McGuire, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31st at the Pathway Church of God in Blytheville, Arkansas. The family will welcome visitors at Pathway Church on Monday, May 30th from 6:00 -8:00 pm. Pastors Danny and L.V. Rigney will officiate. Burial will follow at the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville. Gifts in memory may be sent to establish a scholarship fund for her granddaughter, Scarlett Grace.

I Will See You on the Other Side
(In Memory of Annette Crabb)

Life has been kind, but God has been good;
A lot has happened some things made clear,
But some things will never be understood.
Regardless of the situation, or what the circumstance,
God's grace and mercy still does abide.
So get ready to set sail and row your boat ashore;
Know that I will see you on the other side.

Make your preparations without hesitation,
Don't worry about what people may do or say;
Make your requests known to God and look to him,
To order your steps and give you your daily bread for today.
I took that road and made it my path for life;
He was my strength and ever constant guide.
So, let him also lead you to our place and common goal,
Take comfort and know that I will see you on the other side.

In this life, temptations will surely come
Tests and trials are tried and true;
Although it may seem hard at times,
Still give God the praise he is so due.
I have met those challenges, shed many tears as I've cried,
My ship has now sailed, the harbor lights are on;
I now bid farewell, and I will see you on the other side.

Annette will never be forgotten for her faith, bravery, and loving spirit. Always a smile on her face. She was always a laugh at work especially at halloween. I will never forget the Number 2 pencil or Olive Oil. She was good hearted and do anything for you. She was artistic and quick witted. Even though it has been a while since I had seen her, I will miss her laugh and smile. God be with you and fly high with all the angels.

I watched her courageous fight from afar and was inspired by her smile and faith. I thought of her often, even though I did not know her personally I sensed her "Spirit" and never ending Joy for Life through her Facebook page. Heavens gates will open wide to receive her without hesitation.

Annette was a very nice person. The world, on average, is just a little bit meaner with her passing.
God bless you Annette. I will always remember your smile. I miss you.

One of my favorite memories of Annette was when she would use sign language on Sunday mornings. And when she took the picture of me and Hillary at Hillary's K-4graduation. I still have the picture.
