OSTERVILLE — Annette P. (Breen) Dowd, of Osterville, and formerly of Lexington and Belmont, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 21, 2010.

She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Dowd; beloved mother of Susan Dowd Stone (Tenafly, NJ), Patricia Dowd Connolly (Collinsville, IL), and the late Nancy Dowd Raife; cherished grandmother of David Patrick Raife (Basalt, CO), Rebecca Raife Angrisani (Morrison, CO), Raymond J. Connolly Jr. (Cedar Hill, MO), Julia Michelle Rish (NYC, NY), and Kevin Daniel Connolly (Collinsville, IL); dearly loved great-grandmother of Makena Riley Raife, Jack Dowd Raife (Basalt, CO), and Kaelin Patricia Connolly (Collinsville, IL); sister of the late Mary Virginia Morse (Kingston, NH) and the late Elizabeth Cosgrove (St. Louis, MO).

Calling hours are from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, in the John Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills. A funeral Mass will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Our Lady of Assumption, Wianno Avenue, Osterville. Burial will follow in Mosswood Cemetery.

Donations in her name may be made to Catholic Charities.

Susan and Patsy: So sorry to hear about Aunt Pat. Just the other day I was reminiscing about the old family gatherings at 410 High St. Those were the days! I can only imagine the family party taking place now with Uncle Jack, Nancy and the rest of the family that have gone ahead of us. I am out of town and will not be back on the Cape till Wednesday but my thoughts and prayers will be with you.
