Annie Roberts Maddrea

RICHMOND - Annie Roberts Maddrea, 92, of Richmond, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Maddrea Sr. She is survived by her son, George L. Maddrea Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Yorktown; a brother, Jesse L. Roberts of Richmond; three sisters, Ruth R. Wigington of Burkeville, Louise R. Firesheets of Crewe and Christine R. Bond of East Islip, N.Y.; three grandchildren, B. Scott Maddrea of Richmond, Leigh Ann Carroll of Williamsburg and Jean R. Cusmano of Orlando, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Kelly Jordan Carroll and Justin Patrick Carroll. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today and where funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church, Elizabeth Evans Class, or the church building fund.
