Annie Louise Jones Marek

Annie Louise Jones Marek left to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 7, 2003. She was a most loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her extended family and friends will miss her greatly, but they rejoice in her return to her home to be with her Savior and loved ones.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Jones of Thornton, Arkansas, and was one of nine children.

She was the widow of James F. Marek, and was predeceased by one grandson, David Michael Marek. Louise was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church for more than fifty years. She and her husband were active and caring members of their loving church. Louise and Jim were married for forty-eight years until his death in 1991.

She is survived by a daughter, Pat Morgan of Bryant, Arkansas; two sons, Don Marek and his wife, Gail, of Little Rock, and David Marek and his wife, Amy, of Germantown, Tennessee. Grandchildren are Lance and Karen Gunn, Kevin Morgan, Megan McDaniel, Brenna McDaniel; and one great-grandson, Justin Gunn. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Frank J. Marek of Little Rock. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Carolyn Manning, Mrs. Myrlene Donahue and husband Jim. Surviving brothers are Mr. Glen Jones and wife, Marie, Mr. Herbert Jones and wife, Ruth, and Mr. Ben Jones and wife, Tress.

Also to be remembered are her close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Buell James of Little Rock.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to Dr. John Brizzolara for many years of caring treatment.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 10, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock, 661-9111, with Reverend Beth Waldrup officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, (today), November 9, 2003, at the funeral home.
