I remember Annie from January 10, 1963. I was having my first baby at St. Joseph Hospital and she was my roommate, she was there for a sad and unfortunate event I her life. Hal, her husband, would bring us chicken and ribs at dinner time. We formed a friendship that last for years. We had dinner at their house in Milwaukee with their always interesting guest. We also had dinner at their home in Thiensville. We visited them in McComb, where they treated us to a wonderful rib dinner at his restaurant, where he made his own ribs.
We were at a daughter's wedding St. Marks (?) in the early 70's. I treasure those memories and hold a very fond and deep respect for Hal and Annie. I was at his funeral on Bradley Rd.
As time passed, life got in the way and we lost touch. I so regret that. (I went back to teaching.....32 years at what was Steuben Middle School). Now I research Annie and find that she passed over 2 years ago. Thank you, Annie, for the fond and lasting memories. Rosemary and Chuck Ries.......Menomonee Falls
