Antero Rostro Flores, age 67, of Roscoe, Texas passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating.
Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 21, 2019 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Maria Solis..
Antero was born on January 3, 1952 in Mexico to Agustin and Felipa Buenrrostro. He married Fatima Barragan on December 24, 1982 in Mexico.
He worked as an oilfield worker for many years before retiring. He was a
member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He was a very lovable man who loved his family very much and was loved dearly by everyone.
He is survived by his wife Fatima Rostro of Roscoe, Texas; two daughters, Maria Montoya and husband Jose of Roscoe, Texas, and Fatima Rostro of Roscoe, Texas; one son, Antero Rostro and wife Kirstie of San Angelo, Texas; four grandchildren; mother, Felipa Flores of Mexico; five brothers and five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Agustin Buenrrostro, and other family members, Herculana Flores, Fortino and Juvenal Buenrrostro Flores.
Pallbearers will be Antero Rostro, Jose Montoya, Antonio Villegas, Guadalupe Charre, Juan Maldonado, and Jose Soledad Aguayo. Honorary pallbearers will be his beloved grandchildren; Alan Jared Montoya, Joel Aaron Montoya, Aldo Josue Montoya, and Adelyn Simental.
