Anthony J. Arillotta

Anthony J. Arillotta 1940 - 2007 Springfield - Anthony J. Arillotta, 66, of Springfield, MA died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 8, 2007 at Mercy Hospital. Anthony was the President and owner of B&A Produce on Bay Street in Springfield, and was the number one wine/grape distributor in Western New England. He was an avid golfer, member of Springfield UNICO, and co-founder of the Over 25 touch football league. He was a communicate of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He is the son of Dominic and Rose (Schiavone) Arillotta of Springfield. He was predeceased by his beautiful sister, Grace Frogameni in 1986. Anthony leaves his wife, Loretta (Siano), his son Anthony and his wife Irene, and two daughters Angela and Maria all of Spfld; five grandchildren: Anthony, Sofia, Grace, Michael and Maia, who were the joy and love of his life. He also leaves his brother, Dominic and wife Joyce; their three children: Joanne, Nicholas and Christopher; his brother-in-law, James Frogameni and his two sons James and Anthony. He leaves his mother-in-law, Eunice (Vitarelli) Siano, who loved Anthony as her own son; brother-in-law Michael Siano, sisters-in-law: Grace Siano (who was his nurse and caretaker during his final days), Suzanne and her husband Maurice Kelly, her daughter Cara; Carol and Michael Whalen and children Christopher, Jeromie and Michaela. He also leaves his cousin, Guiseppe Polimeni and wife Paula and their three children: Lucrezia, Michelle and Nichola. He leaves behind his life-long buddy and friend, Joseph Impoco and wife Joanne. He also leaves many great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 11th from 3-8 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services for Anthony will be on Monday, March 12, 2007 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mass will be held at 11:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Spfld. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt.
