Anthony Brent Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 15, 2024.
Anthony Marvin Brent, known to many as (Tony) was called to his eternal home on October 3rd 2024, at the age of 64, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Born on November 20, 1959, in Stafford, Virginia, Tony's journey on earth was characterized by a humble heart, boundless gratitude, and profound respect for all.

Tony's life was a testament to the virtues of faith, family, fellowship, and his
laughter was a beacon of joy in the lives of those he encountered, and his presence was a reminder of the beauty inherent in simplicity and sincerity. Tony's love was a reflection of divine love, embracing his family and friends in every shared moment and every memory cherished.

For over 35 years, Tony served as a plant operator at the Quantico Marine Base in Quantico, Virginia. His dedication to his job was an act of commitment and stewardship. He was a steadfast member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he nurtured his spiritual life and found kinship in believers.

Tony's legacy is carried on through his daughters, Taniya Mcdowney (Kevin) of Locust Grove, Virginia, and Dominique Brent of Columbia, Maryland; his grandchildren, Jacoby Fauntleroy and Madyson Mcdowney; his devoted siblings, Yvette Tracy Brent of Spotsylvania, Va., and Shephon Brent (Lennette) of Stafford, Virginia; and his extended family two Godchildren Elijah, and Zion Johnson. A cousin/devoted friend Eddie "Homeboy"Johnson. Tony also had a very special friend whom he cherished dearly Teresa Franklin of Washington DC. A host of Neices, Nephews, and many others he touched by his gentle pure spirit.

As he joins the heavenly choir, Tony is reunited with his beloved parents, Lucille Hill Brent and James Randolph Brent, and his sister, Valarie Naydene Brent, who preceded him in the journey to the Kingdom of Heaven. Tony's memories will live on and we give thanks for every blessing, and honor the sacredness of life as he so beautifully did.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." - Matthew 5:8
