I am so sad to hear the news of a passing of one of the sweetest men! Dionne and Benton, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad and troubling time. May you feel the love around you and may He bless you with his peace and love.

I just heard this sad news, and am devastated. Sending my condolences to Anthony's family. . Anthony was a good friend of my ex husband Cranston and mine. We thought the world of him, as he was one of the nicest, most kind gentleman you could ever want to know. And a dynamite guitar player, too! I know he was a loving father to his son, and remember how happy he looked when he bought a keyboard from me to provide for his son to learn on. I loved hearing him perform with John Cleary and the late Herman Ernest, as the House of Blues Allstars, who played at HOB every Monday night, a while back. And he was one of those unrecognized talents- the quintessential side man on guitar, playing with just about every great New Orleans artist you can think of. He will be sorely missed by the entire New Orleans music community.

Dionne and Benton, we are so sorry that we could not attend the service today. We are praying that God would grant you the peace and comfort that you seek while trying to get through this difficult moment. We were deeply saddened to hear about Anthony's passing but we know that God will accept him with open arms for all the good he has done while he was on earth. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, and we are glad that we had the opportunity to meet him. Anthony will be missed.

Words cannot not express the way I feel about your passing meet you years ago and always had a joy seeing you when I came to NO or saw you in Texas a jewel truely will be missed

I was on my way to an appointment near Touro. I passed a church on Louisiana with cars tightly parked on every side street. I saw formally dressed people from every direction making their way to the church. Some as far away as a few blocks.

On my way back I made it a point to stop at the church find out who this well respected man was. I was sorry to find out he was only 56 but happy for the good life Anthony Brown must have lived.

OMG Mr.Brown was like a father to me when I was in trouble he helped get me out he kept me out of restriction and everything. I remember asking to get out of class just to come see you. I really miss him.I also really wanted to come to your funeral but I couldn't because I had no knowledge of it. its really hard knowing that your gone just the other day I was talking about you to my coach. R.I.P. Mr.Brown!!!!!

To my sister-in-law and my nephew, you are in my prayers especially today. Know that the peace of God shall reign over you today and always. Love you both.

My heart is broken. We have lost a phenomenal musician and even better man. I will miss seeing and hearing Mr. Anthony play all over our great city. No matter where I saw him, he always took the time to say hello and give me a big hug. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those that love him. Peace be with you!

Mr Brown, I called you my cousin @ school because my maiden name was Brown. You are really missed at Riverdale School. Rest in peace. Cuz

Mr. Brown is a great man he helped everyone when they needed help we had fun but when it was time to work he would not joke around I remember he brought his son to practice to help us coach brown was a great man and will always be remembered but we have to realize that he is in a better place gone but never forgotten #1 coach

I am honored to have been able to work with such a wonderful person. We will definitely miss his smiling face in the hallways. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Ricky Brown had passed! He was the nicest person that one could hope to know. This has been a terrible year for the passing of really good people. I feel certain that those he left behind have benefited from his life example.
