Thank you, Susan for letting me know. I went into my mail last night to try & send a NYT photo of a snowball fight in France about a century ago to Tony. I found the sent obit. instead. A very sad time. I'm glad he had you for all this time.

As his neighbor for many years, I would see him set up his easel at various locations in our neighborhood always postured as a man truly
enjoying his gift. For my sister's 40th Anniversary I presented her with Tony's rendering of our Assumption Church where she was married and soon thereafter her husband lost his battle .Needless to say this meant so much to her. For Sue and his family he will always be remembered by me as a gentle, kind man with somewhat of a twinkle in his eye.

I knew Tony because he was well known in the community of artists that we both belong to. He did the most accurate and beautiful paintings of houses and storefronts. Before I knew him personally I had seen his watercolors hanging in bank. Later I saw him with an easel set up on a sidewalk. I went over to speak to him and we talked for an hour. Tony can go on and on about people and places on Staten Island. He was quite a story teller. He was one of the kindest, warm hearted people that I have known. He will surely be missed by many.

I met Anthony many years ago. The thing that I thought of at once was what a kind, sweet person he was! I was lucky enough to see some of his artwork. How talented he was! May God bless his wonderful family with His peace during this difficult time.

So wrenching to hear this news. Tony was such a sweet, perceptive and funny man as well as a supremely talented artist and photographer. Our walls are graced with many of Tony's watercolors and photos. Although he found it stressful to do, he reluctantly photographed our wedding, "as a favor for a friend," which, of course, he chronicled beautifully. He was a good friend and I always cherished our conversations about politics, art, Staten Island and more. What a loss. We will miss him terribly.
