Dear Anita, Anthony's parents, and all who loved him, I am so very sorry for your loss. He is a hero for fighting bravely and continuing to do what he loved all through his fight. I so enjoyed being able to meet him, though I wish it had been under different circumstances. I loved hearing about his trip and loved when he would show me clips of his movie. An inspiration indeed. My friend , my patient , my inspiration Anthony. I told you many times that no one knows what lies ahead, no one knows their final destiny, but whatever that destiny is , there's a reason . You made your mark on so many of us in your short 16 years. You made a difference. I cherish every moment I spent with you , even though so many of those were the toughest I've experienced in my 14 years as a nurse. Fly high Anthony, soar above us, guide us, teach us, wrap your wings around your gramma, your mom and your dad who suffered the pain of seeing you hurting. Give us all strength when we look to the sky for answers. I will never forget you. Thank you for allowing me the honor of caring for you. Your favorite nurse , despite you grunting each time I'd try to force you to say it.Vicky, RN, mass general for children

I am thinking of you all at this very sad time. Anthony was one of a kind; caring, talented, insightful, funny and thoughtful. He will be missed. I will remember him fondly. May he rest in peace.
