Anthony Cribari Obituary

Anthony R. Cribari Sr. DYER, IN - Anthony R. Cribari Sr., age 94, of Dyer, IN, formerly of Dolton, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2018. Tony was born June 15, 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late Enrico and Angelina Cribari. Also preceding him in death are his loving wife for over 60 years, June Cribari; brothers, Dominic, James, Nicholas, and Frank Cribari. Survivors are his children: Sandra Besancon, Leonard (Gloria), Anthony (late Laurie), and Robert (late Cheryl); grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Leonard Jr., William, Andrea, Andrew, Frank, and Toni; four great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Tony honorably served in the United States Army during WWII, serving in the European Theater under Patton's Signal Corps. He retired from Local #597 Union Pipefitters. Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, IN 46307). Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. To leave online condolences, please visit www.chapellawnfuenrals.com

Mr. Cribari will always be considered a HERO for serving our country during a time when fighting for our freedom was essential. You truly were part of the Greatest Generation. Thank you Sir for your bravery, courage and sacrifice. May God hold you in his loving arms. Rest in Peace.
