Anthony "Tony D" DeVincentis

Anthony "Tony D" DeVincentis, 85, a lifelong resident of Newark, N.J., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013. Funeral is at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville , N.J. (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass is at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Newark. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, N.J. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Mr. DeVincentis was employed by Charms in Bloomfield, N.J., Ronson in Newark, became an electrician's apprentice, and then Tung-Sol in Bloomfield, N.J., where he was a union vice president. He owned and operated Tony D Electric in Newark, Happy's Inn in Newark and Happy's Pub in Sayreville, N.J. before retiring. Mr. DeVincentis is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Alvino); sons, Michael and his wife, Elena; Dr. Anthony and his wife, Jane; Dr. Vincent, Joseph; brother, Pat DeVincentis; sisters, MaryAnn Guiliano and Antoinette Liccone; grandchildren, Elisa, Michele, Francesca, and many devoted nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Virginia (nee Pontrantolfi) DeVincentis.
