hi this is Wesley Payne I am so sorry to hear about Tony .I just found out.Was wondering y my asparagus got sent back I knew how he enjoyed fresh asparagus.My condolences go out to the family especially Yvonne shes the only 1 that I knew.Tony was a very smart man .Im sure he is missed by many.I just wish I found out sooner I would of liked to been their to say good by n that I loved him.He helped me out a great deal n never charged me very much cause he knew I was on a fixed income.He will b dearly missed.Hard to write this with tears in my eyes I love u Tony n thanks for everything u have done for me u will b greatly missed.Wesley Payne

This is very late. I just found out at Oakwood Alumni 2024 my friend/classmate is no longer with me. I have so many memories from all the years we spent together. My fondest memory is when he went through computer training which was new. It was the new age of technology in 1978. Anthony received 4 job offers each offering more than the previous. We were so excited... the right choices had to be made......I guess he prayed about it! He chose NASA!!!
Anyway, he's truly missed as soon as I saw his name. WHAT A SHOCK!! I didn't see him June 2023 and should have been concern enough to reach out because he wasn't present.
Anthony would verify I was a sista from childhood on... every now and then he would receive tongue lashings. The relationship/friendship we had was truly genuine.

There are many things that I could say about Anthony Greene, but the one that comes to my mind is he was an awesome friend and brother in Christ. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 1:14 that Angels are ministering spirits, and that is truly what Anthony was, he ministered to me and my family in so many different ways. my heart is heavy from the loss of a true, loving brother.

Thank you Anthony for always being here for me I love you so much my dear friend you will always be in my heart !! God bless your soul

I had the distinct privilege to know Anthony by attending church together. I always wanted to sit near him in Sabbath school to hear him expound on a biblical topic. He was a pillar of faith, a man of great knowledge that I loved being around. He will be greatly missed. I'm comforted by the fact, that after the millennium I will see him again. What a great man.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Greene since we were new lawyers together in the 1990s. He was a well-liked member of the legal community, as he exuded kindness and professionalism both inside and out of the courtroom. Especially given his science background and career experiences before law school, Mr. Green was interesting to talk with at local bar association social gatherings, as he always had a great story to share. I had the privilege of watching Mr. Greene in action recently, as he represented the defendant in the first trial I presided over as a trial judge, which I believe was the last case he tried before he retired. He will be missed!

As fellow Notre Dame grad, we always had things to talk about. He was actually a rocket scientist -- that is saying something. I will miss seeing and talking to him. I second Judge Benson's comments. A loss to our community.

I am devastated to have learned of Mr. Greenie´s passing. He was a great man and Lawyer who I was lucky enough to have represent me in court. His fight for justice in the courtroom didn´t go unnoticed and I truly appreciated all that he´s done. I am sending his family my long and condolences during this difficult time

This is very sad news. Anthony is an extremely well respected attorney in Grand Rapids. When I practiced law, I had cases against him. As a judge, he has appeared before me many times. In all the years, Anthony was always prepared, thoughtful, vigorous and effective in his advocacy. He was unfailingly polite, professional and friendly. We are going to miss him around the courthouse.
