Anthony Devalle "Tony" Huey

He was a Donaldsonville city councilman in District 1, serving his third term, and a former plant worker and truck driver. A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Prevost Memorial Hospital, Donaldsonville. He was 50 and a U.S. Navy veteran. Recitation of the rosary at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 421 St. Patrick St., Donaldsonville, Saturday, May 29, at 10:15 a.m. Memorial Mass at the church at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Phil Spano, celebrant. Survived by his wife, Yolanda Huey; three daughters, April, Brittany and Chelsea; two sons, Ricky Semien and Anthony D. Huey II; mother-in-law, Helen Henney; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Odile Huey; and brother, Terry Huey. He was active in the recreational activities for youth, sponsored by the city of Donaldsonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, P.O.
