Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 20, 2020.

Anthony P. Konopski, 86, passed away at his Arden Heights home on August 19, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, Anthony graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.  He proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict from 1951 through 1956. He also obtained his Engineering degree while in the Service and, after working as a butcher in Brooklyn for a short time, he began working as a building engineer for Union 32 B and J in Manhattan. He retired in 2014.

Anthony was a past member of the Elks Club and was an avid NY Giants and NY Rangers fan. He also enjoyed going to the beach and was an excellent chef. Anthony was a true pet lover and supported the ASPCA for decades.

"Dad was a loving, supportive and generous man," said his children. "He truly loved and was proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

Anthony P. Konopski was the beloved father of Bernadette Masseria, Nadine Konopski and Anthony Konopski; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his dear sister Molly Tellakemp.
