ANTHONY "TONY"
Age 69, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014, after a long battle with blood cancer. Beloved husband of Barbara Dzikiy Lewandowski; loving father of Corrie Noir and Levi Lewandowski; proud Pap-Pap of Robert and Ryan Noir; dear brother of Rita Petti, Gerry Sokulski, and Audrey Rak; cherished son of the late Anthony "Al" and Anna (Bartoszewicz) Lewandowski; and well-loved by many family members and good friends. Tony was a retired City of Pittsburgh Police detective after over 26 years of service and a U.S. Navy veteran (Seabees). Tony enjoyed sailing, skiing, Corvettes, cars, and motorcycles. Family and friends will be received at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 412-563-2800, from Monday 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Wednesday 10:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations are suggested to VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Voluntary Service (118V-A), 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215, or online at: www.volunteer.va.gov/apps/VolunteerNow/.

Barbara, Rita, Gerry and Audrey. This is Uncle Billy's youngest Toni. I am so sorry. Even though we don't get to see each other, I always have the best memories of being with you at the Bartoszewicz/Lewandowski gatherings. You know if I was there I would be lined up to kiss and hug everyone of you.

Your husband & Dad was always there for you, I have fond memories of him with a big smile and warm welcome and always rooting for his kids in the stands at Mustang basketball and Banksville baseball and all over. The Seabees of Island X-3 Pittsburgh want to extend our deepest sympathies to the Lewandowski Family. Even though Anthony wasn't a member of our Seabee group, we are all a Seabee Family.

We will miss Tony not only as a wonderful neighbor and friend but the wonderful police officer that he was. He not only serviced his country, he served the public everyday.
He was a good husband and father and our very deepest sympathy goes out to Barb, Corrie, Levi and the grandchildren.
