Anthony Mannino Obituary
Anthony was deeply loved by his friends, family and caretakers. He is survived by his loving brothers, Michael, his twin and Joey (Alicia). Grandson of Lillian Grattarola and the late Vincent Grattarola, the late Joseph and Pietrina Mannino. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles including Maria, Tina, Jim, Tom, Annita, Toni, Mark, Paul and Greg and other loving cousins and family members.
Anthony graduated from Wing Lake Developmental center in 2018 and began living an independent life with Progressive Lifestyles at the Potter House in Wixom . Anthony was a beacon of light and hope to everyone that crossed his path, his infectious trademark smile was legendary and brought happiness to anyone lucky enough to meet him. Anthony grew up in the Catholic faith and was baptized and confirmed.
A celebration of Anthony's life will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel in Bloomfield Hills. Visitation at 9:30 am and mass to follow at 10:00 am. A celebration luncheon will be held at Detroit Golf Club at 17911 Hamilton, Detroit,MI.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Progressive Lifestyles-Potter House, Anthony's Group Home and Residence for the last 5 years. Click the link below.

While we never know the "why" to the timing; I found the best we can do for ourselves and our loved ones is try take comfort in knowing the Peace they now know. Anthony was just a little boy when my husband and I met him when he visited our neighbors, his Mannino grandparents. He was a happy guy and always had a smile. And his parents were angels. They couldn´t have loved him more or taken better care of him. And now he is celebrating with our good God in heaven! We will see you again, Anthony! Anthony will forever be in our hearts. I can remember seeing my cousin for the very first time when he was born. We had a lot of great adventures growing up. Anthony was always in for a Meijers shopping trip or Taco Bell run with his brothers and cousins. He had a whole-hearted smile of happiness, especially for his mom. Anthony called me BiBi and gave the best kisses. My cousin was so tiny when he was born but he grew up strong and taught us all to be brave and that miracles are possible, more than a few times. Anthony made me a flat-Stanley doll when I moved to Colorado. I sent him pictures of adventures for his project and still have my handmade gift from my cousin. Stanley has been to mountain tops but my cousin just climbed the highest peak. Anthony grew up from being so tiny that he fit in the indentation of my knee, sitting cross-legged, doing middle school homework into a courageous man. He was greeted by a large welcoming party in Heaven when God took him home. We will forever miss Anthony and his beautiful smile. I cherish the many happy memories with my cousin and celebrate his amazing life and all the people he touched in his almost 33 years.

I remember first meeting /treating Anthony in the Early Intervention and Wing Lake Programs. Anthony worked hard in occupational therapy and had an infectious smile. Anthony was one of my favorite students You will be missed . Praying for the family during this difficult time.

James and I are so sorry to hear of Anthony's passing. Anthony was a few years older than Alex and you were such a support to me when we first started Early intervention with Miss Kim. I didn't know what to expect. I remember Amthony had such a great smile and loved calling your name!! He will be missed. Your family is in our prayers .
