Tony, we miss you so much. I lived not far from your store on North Bond and Cooper, so we used to go to your place often for grocery's. Everyone their was so nice and kind., and I loved the donuts the girl used to make.

Provenzano's was a part of growing up in the City of Saginaw. From the smell of fresh donuts, to the meat counter, or the homemade pizzas with the criss cross of cheese. The Brothers always behind the meat counter. Rest in Peace, Anthony.

I'm so sorry for all of family during this time of your loss. You don't know me, but I was always at the family store buying those wonderful chocolate covered fry cakes (donuts) Oh those custard filled cream puffs sprinkled with powdered sugar, you can't find any that even compare. Then one day my mother made spaghetti and bought your J&R sauce. I will never forget when the store closed we were so sad. One day I found the spaghetti sauce at A&P on State St. I was thrilled, then they closed. I sure wish your family would open a new generation store that sold everything the old one did. The Provenzano name to me means family, hardworking ,history of the city that it used to be when we were kids in the 70's when we could park our bikes in front of the store on a beautiful summer day and get donut. Mr. Provenzano was a great man. My own father just passed away this past Sunday the 24th. He was just 7 months younger than Mr. Provenzano , so I do know what the family feels like losing your dad.

To Jack & Jenean and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My siblings and I were talking just last week about how we loved going to the Provenzano store after church to watch our doughnuts being made and eating them while. That may not seem like something likely to be remembered this many years later but we do. It was one of favorite things as children. Mr. Provenzano didn't know us by name, never failed to greet each of us but we sure knew him! Jan Weller

What a beautiful service today. Matt shared some wonderful images of his Papa and the Priest spoke so many words of comfort in such a personal manner. Even in grief there is so much to be thankful for. Your husband, father, Papa, friend lived a wonderful Christian life here and now can share eternity with his Lord and Savior.

I remember the family store so well. When I was a little girl I use to love looking at the meat case as my Mom shopped. The best meat ever! I shopped there when I was living in Saginaw and had my own children. It was always nice to be greated by everyone knowing my first name. All of sons are sincerely missed!
