Having only found out this morning about Tony's passing, I can't begin to tell you how saddened I am having lost a life-long friend.....
I first met Tony at Palms Jr High as a young teen and was immediately attracted by his (or should I say OUR mutual) propensity for goofiness....
Over the years, I spent a lot of time at his home and was made to feel like a valued part of the family.... We spent a lot of time after school just sitting in his room and talk about teen things, people we knew, a LOT of goofy things, and had a LOT of laughs...over the years I went to his gigs, talk about girls and R and B music, for which he had loved only second to that of Felly and his beautiful daughter Rita...,
The coolest thing was that it got to the point that we'd just look at one another and burst out laughing...over NOTHING!!!! EVEN if we hadn't been together or talked for a while....
While I confessed to him on many occasions how I wish Anne, his mother, was my mother (for which he thanked me for that compliment) I never did tell him, though I think he suspected it (his mom sure did, though) that I had a crush on his middle sister, Madeline (Maddy).
I can't believe you're gone My Friend!!!! I expect I that I can still just drop over one day.... look at you.........with both of just bursting out laughing....for NO REASON....OVER NOTHING!!!
