TRELLO
ANTHONY J.
Age 90, of South Park, passed away on January 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Anthony was the eldest of nine children and his family was always his first priority. Everyone went to him for guidance and support. Anthony will always be remembered as a kind, compassionate, respectful and loving man with a fantastic memory. He never forgot a special occasion, always sending a card. While he was able, he never missed attending a funeral or visiting someone who was sick. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. He touched the lives of everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all, especially his family. Our hearts are broken but we were blessed to have him for all these years. Anthony grew up in Coraopolis. He proudly served his country in WWII in the 81st Wildcat Division in the South Pacific. He retired after 30 years service from the US Postal Service. After retirement, Anthony helped in the family sausage business until the age of 84. He was a member of the Golden Agers and the VFW post 402. Anthony and his wife enjoyed traveling to Italy and visiting family members. He also kept in touch with his fellow servicemen and their families attending many Army reunions all over the United States for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Louisa (Lucci) his Chickadee; loving daughters Diane Waggett (the late Bill), Toni Jean Valore (the late Richie) and preceded in death by his daughter, Emily and son-in-law Dave Barkman, who cared for him for many years. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Eric (Jessica), Chrissy Stocker (Carl), Jamie Lynn Apel (Edward), Carrie Ann Grelo, and Nicole Bonavita (Carlo); 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. He is the brother of Jean Mariano (the late Nick), Albert Trello (the late Bridget), the late Armond Trello (May), the late Fred Trello (Betty), Lilly Ricci (Ernest), Ernie Trello (Pat), Mamie Massey (the late Raymond) and the late Pasquale Trello; brother-in-law of Jean Soller (Lou) and the late Sonny Lucci (Jaci); son of the late Pasquele and Emilia (Vallera) Trello and also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 1-3 p.m. when Military Honors will be performed at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice, 750 Holiday Dr. Foster Plaza #9 Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

Diane and Toni Jean, It's with deep regret that I only recently learned your dad passed away. He was the most kind, exceptional & amazing man. I feel truly blessed for having known him, your mom, and all of you. There was always a kind word and open arms for all those who knew him. Please know I'll keep your mom & both of you in my thoughts and prayers. With sincere sympathy. Kathy Gosliak

Louisa and daughters:
Not sure how I even found this...I am so sorry for your huge loss. I hope you all find comfort in the fact that Tony is no longer suffering. We think about you all the time, esp when I drive by your house or open the dictionary you bought me when I graduated high school! Unfortunately we know your loss all too well--mom (Joycie) passed away January 4, a few days before Tony. May we all find comfort in our memories.

Dear Louise and Family
You may not remember me but I spent many hours at the Trello home back in the 40's. Lilly and I were best of friends. I remember when Tony came home from the war and how in love you both were at that time. It lasted 66 years. I was sorry to learn of Tony's passing,I remember him as a beautiful person. Louise,I remember you as a kind, caring and loving person and always speaking in a soft voice.I know you made Tony a great wife. May you find comfort in God's love for you. An old friend of the family. Marie Thomas Pressley Atlanta,Ga

Dearest Louise, Diane, Toni Jean and family,
The world is a poorer place for the loss of Tony. Rest in peace our friend.
Be assured that Tony, as he entered his eternal home, heard God say:
“Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Tony went above and beyond in living a faithful and serving life while on earth. It was a great honour to have been able to call him friend.
And Lou, I know that you felt his great love for you and his girls, and all his kids. You always talked about your love for him and I'm sure you can feel it surrounding you yet. You should all feel honoured for having shared such a great man with the world.
Although we can't be with you for the funeral, know that our family sends our love and prayers. Let God's love surround you and carry you through this trying time.
God Bless and Keep you till we meet again.
All our love and prayers,
Ruth, Jim and sons, James and Tim

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity. - Kihlil Gibran

Peace be with you my dear friend.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Trello family. Uncle Tony was a compassionate & caring man that will truly be missed by all that he left behind. We were blessed to know him and greatly enjoyed his & Aunt Louise visiting us in Houston, TX in 2002 for their great nephew Keith Lucci's high school graduation. Uncle Tony always remembered how much his nephew David & I loved getting Italian sausage from Ricci's it was such a treat for us. So when he personally delivered it to us in Texas for Keith's graduation it was like our taste buds were in heaven! Thank you so much Uncle Tony...may you always be blessed and embraced by God's enduring light.

To AJ, a wonderful man who was like a father to me and accepted me into his family like a daughter. Always kind, loving and trying to feed me a lot of food. As AJ said 'What do you have a hollow leg?" Many precious memories I hold dear to my heart. I loved and respected this man. Louise, may you find peace in your loss. Love you too.

To my sweet Aunt Louise who always told the best story of the little bity lady, and to my cousins... I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Tony was around every weekend when I was growing up. I can still see him sitting with my parents, and Aunt Louise ,playing cards for hours on end. Love to you all and prayers coming your way. Uncle Tony was one of a kind, like my father. A truly wonderful man.
