BOUVIER
ANTON
Age 73, of McCandless passed away suddenly on November 28, 2007. We are devastated. Anton was the beloved husband of 51 years to Dr. Marianne Bouvier of McCandless and the beloved father of Linda Chapon and Brigitte Savchik, both of Franklin Park. Anton who preferred the name Toni was born September 30, 1934 in Bruck an der Mur, Austria. He received his Masters Degree (Diplom Ingenieur) from the Technical University of Graz in 1957. He moved to the United States in 1958 first working for Link Aviation in Upstate New York, then Fecker Corporation in Pittsburgh. While at Fecker he helped design Gyroscope Test Simulators and infrared telescopes for NASA. In 1972 he started his own company, Benton Corporation, as the designer and manufacturer of high precision equipment in Gyro Test Tables. Toni loved nature and the outdoors. In earlier years he was an avid tennis player and skier. He always enjoyed returning to his native Austria to see friends and his three sisters, Ingeborg Berchtold of Innsbruck, Ute Oechs and Elke Kratochvil both of Graz. He is preceded in death by his dear parents, Anton and Stefanie Bouvier of Graz, and his brother-in-law, Kurt Oechs of Graz. Visitation will be held at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Pgh., PA 15237. 412-364-4444 on Friday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity E.V. Lutheran Church, Brandt School Rd. at 11 am on Saturday, December 1st followed a burial at Allegheny County Memorial Park. He will always be remembered as a dedicated husband and a warm devoted father and grandfather. His five grandchildren, Lindsay and Carolyn Chapon, and Peter, Stephen and Clara Savchik loved him very much. His sons-in-laws, Joe Chapon and John Savchik join us in our grief. May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal.

Marianne and Family: We will always remember Toni's warm smile and greeting each time we met. He was truly a kind and attentive father and husband who made all those around him feel important. He had a real knack for dealing with difficult situations and for solving life's big and little problems in his own quiet way. We will miss him. You are in our prayers.

Tante Marianne, Linda & Brigitte,
Our thoughts, hearts and prayers go out to you during this hard time. I feel blessed to have wonderful memories of my Onkle Toni. He took me to my first Major League baseball game at Three Rivers many years ago. He made our trips to Pittsburgh fun and always made us feel comfortable and at home. Quite a man, who is sorely missed. Erich & Family.

Dr. Bouvier and family,

Mr. Bouvier was a terrific man who gave me a job opportunity at Benton Corporation after I graduated H.S. as a receptionist and then a secretary. He was always kind, caring and a wonderful person. He would ask me how I was and my family was doing too. Back then I was single and still living at home. I could never call him "Toni" as others did out of the high respect I had for him.

Mr. Bouvier and the Benton staff attended my wedding 13 1/2 years ago and now I am a wife, and mother of 4 young children. I met my future husband who worked for Herion at the time. I would keep in touch via email or send a card for Christmas to Mr. Bouvier but life gets busy raising a family and time slips by fast.

Dr. Bouvier helped my mother by finding her a dr. friend she trusted to take care of my mother before she died almost 15 years ago now. I thank Dr. Bouvier for her kindness too.

Dan Hixson called me yesterday to tell me of the sad news. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Dr. Bouvier and her family. Mr. Bouvier loved talking about his family and enjoyed seeing them visit him at work. I will never forget his laugh, smile and love of his family above all other things. He was an important person in my life for many years. I worked there for 8 years and it was sad to see Benton Corporation go out of business because it was a big part of him and his family. It felt like a family to work there too.

No words can convey my sadness and deepest sympathy for you and your family. I wish you peace, love and happiness always. Dawn Clark and family
