Anton Comizio Obituary
Anton M. Comizio, age 45 of New Fairfield died at his residence on Tuesday Februsry 4th.
Anton was born in Yonkers, NY March 27, 1968 the son of Joseph R. and Angela (Garriola) Comizio of New Fairfield. A lifelong resident of New Fairfield, Anton was a graduate of Western CT State University and he received his Masters Degree in Education from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY.
Anton was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Yonkers, NY school system for the past 15 years, most recently with PS 32. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his nieces and nephews school and after school activities.
In addition to his parents, Anton is survived by his three brothers: Joseph R. Comizio and his wife Gordana of Millbrook, NY, Ronald Comizio and his wife Lisa of Brookfield, and Richard Comizio and his wife Jhuma of Greenwich, ten nieces and nephews, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and his pet rottweiler "Cooper".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday February 8th at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will be in the Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street Danbury on Friday February 7th from 3 to 9pm.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.

Uncle Bubba, there's not a day that goes by where I don't think of you. You have touched so many lives. I wish you were still here, so we can continue to make memories. You were my best friend and my birthday buddy. Every year it gets harder, just knowing that I'll never see you again at any of the family events, breaks my heart because nothing's the same without you. "That one day in early February, you passed away in your sleep, I been crying when I think about it, I miss your smile, I miss your laugh, and now I live without it." R.I.P. Uncle Bubba, just know that I will always love and miss you. Thank you for being such an amazing uncle.

My heart is heavy with sadness when I found out about Anton's passing. I have such great memories of going to school with Anton in New Fairfield. I smile when I think of him as a backup dancer for our "Madonna act" in the Senior Variety show and seems like just yesterday we were in High School together. I will miss his smile and contagious laugh. He had such a warm heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Rest in peace Anton.
