“Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather & Brother”
Mr. Antonio S. Carlos, 86, of Waterbury, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Meridian Manor with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Machado) Carlos.
Antonio was born in Igreja Nova, Barcelos, Portugal on September 17, 1928, son of the late Alberto and Mariana (DaSilva) Carlos and he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He was a machine operator at Scovill Manufacturing Company and Century Brass for many years before his retirement.
Besides his wife Maria of 59 years, he leaves seven sons; Joseph M. Carlos of New Britain, CT, Daniel M. Carlos and his wife, Maria of Shelton, CT, Carlos M. Carlos and his wife, Nancy of Prospect, CT, Domingos M. Carlos and his wife, Ingrid of Pembroke Pines, FL, Fernando M. Carlos and his wife, Tina of Trumbull, CT, Antonio Julio M. Carlos and his wife, Patricia of Miami, FL, David M. Carlos and his wife, Dana of Larchmont, NY;
one daughter, Paula M. Thornton and her husband, Kelley of Chicago. IL,
twenty grandchildren, one great-grandchild,
two brothers; Daniel Carlos of Sandiaes, Potugal, Joao Carlos of Toronto, Canada,
six sisters; Carolina Silva of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, Amelia Azevedo of Igreja Nova, Portugal, Rosa Macedo of Cervaes, Portugal, Maria de Lourdes Martins of Mineola, NY, Fatima Ribeiro of Cervaes, Portugal, Sameiro Mendes of Toronto, Canada,.
He was predeceased by one brother, Manuel Fernandes.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury. Everyone is requested to meet directly at the Church. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Portuguese Sport Club Scholarship Fund, 1966 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. CT 06706.
