Antonio "Tony" Morello, age 90, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Long Branch, New Jersey. Born on June 23, 1934, in Amato Catanzaro, Italy. Tony was an amazing man with a constant smile on his face, a cherished figure in his community, known for his hard work and dedication to his family.

Antonio served in the Italian Army and was honorably discharged. In 1960 he headed to the United States with his son Frank to join his wife and son Felice where they settled in Long Branch, NJ. His love for culinary lead him to be the head chef of Sirianni's Restaurant in West End for many years. He then worked for the Long Branch Board of Education as a custodian and retired in 2005.

Tony's hobbies included gardening and cooking, often being proclaimed by his family and friends as the best chef and produced the best garden in town.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rosina Morello; his son and daughter-in-law, Felice and Rosemarie Morello; granddaughter and husband, Melissa and Joseph Martinell; and great-grandson, Joseph Felice Martinell. He also leaves behind a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Francesca Morello; his son, Frank Morello; his brothers, Francesco and Pasquele Morello.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenues, Long Branch, NJ. A mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Star of the Sea Church, with the burial at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. The Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch, N is assisting the family with the arrangements.
