East Bend – Ms April Rose Barnett, 40, of Cowhide Drive passed away peacefully at her home. She was born April 9, 1982 in Caddo County, Oklahoma to Lenard Eugene Barnett, Sr. and Sharon Kay Howze Barnett. Ms Barnett loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews when able. She was preceded in death by her father, Lenard Eugene Barnett, Sr. and by her brother, Lenard Eugene Barnett, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alexis Hoard; her son, Devin Hoard; her mother and step-father, Sharon and Kent Warner; her fiance’ Aaron Houck; the father of her children, A.J. Hoard and his wife, Fran; her nieces, Haley Barnett, Kylie Barnett; nephew, James Barnett; sister-in-law, Christina Truax; and several close friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date in her home state of Michigan. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Barnett family.

My prayers go out to my Aunt Sharon as she navigates through this difficult time along with everyone else who had the privilege to have had April in their life. So unexpected and sudden, but also a reminder that not a single moment on this world is promised and we should treat each one as if it were our last and be kind to one another. Until we meat again Cousin where there is no sadness and no more loss...
