April Gilpin

Back in high school April lit up the room with her little smile and had the most beautiful eyes. I was always in quiet awe of her beauty which ran inside and out. She never made a big deal of her success and I never felt less than in her presence. I am so sad to see this tragic news. RIP sweet April. The world is a darker place without you.

It's so sad that she died. I didn't know her personally, but I loved her acting!

Please accept my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. I am so sorry for your loss. May the God who binds up the broken-hearted comforts all who mourn sustain your family during this challenging time.(Isaiah 61: 1,2.) Sincerely.

It has been so very long since I had seen April but I remember her well from my childhood. Her mom, Sandra, and my mom, Sandy were very close friends. So sorry for your loss.

I met April through my spouse Allison, and I count myself very lucky to have known her. She is such a wonderful, infectiously inspiring, creative person, and the world is a lonelier place without her.

April cut my hair every six weeks for almost 11 years. In 2009, I shattered my femur and was home for months in a wheelchair. Getting over to the salon was difficult, if not impossible. Also using a sink to wet my hair. So April cheerfully came to my house and cut and colored my hair. In the front yard. With a hose. And me sitting in my wheelchair. We laughed about that ever after. April was one of the most kind people I've ever met. And so generous of spirit. I always felt beautiful, cherished as a friend and loved when I left her presence. She will be so missed. I will try to carry some of her light with me always.

April lit up the room with her eyes, smile and big hearted laugh. Miss you Ape! Many great memories. Gone too soon, I will not forget you!

My precious little sister, April: It is far too soon to say good~bye. It feels like I could still reach you and feel the love, laughter and truth that was always so grounding. Your authentic sharing with me the special way you always did, I will miss. I am so thankful that you often felt compelled to share the sweetest old memories. You could always be counted upon to spin life's adventures with your wry humor and wise point of view. You are so loved, April. This is the best testament to a life well~lived, head on, with truth and love. My sincerest hope, April, is that you feel free and are having the time of your life. O' April, stay close, Angel

To April's family -
It pains me to know April died so suddenly. Adrienne told me and chills ran through me. I fondly remember April in Alex Sanger elementary. We were in TAG together as well as other classes. She was funny and I was glad to call her a friend. Sending prayers to all the family.
