Arbie Mildred Callis

Arbie Mildred Callis, 96, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lasco Adron Callis; her parents, John Allen Dillon and Allie Jane Toler Dillon; and her sister, Ila Dillon Byrd. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Parlier and grandson, Stephen Parlier; one sister, Joyce Spencer and husband William Spencer; and brother-in-law, Ed Byrd, all of Little Rock. Arbie was a retired kindergarten teacher; a loving wife, sister, mother and friend. Those whose lives she touched were better for having known her. She was a member of South Highland Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Ukulele Band for many years. Arbie was a member of the BLET Auxiliary. She had a sweet and loving spirit which was shared with all those around her. Visitation will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth with Bro. Don Cooper officiating.
