Uncle Maxie ..... when I think of him, I always think of a man of wisdom and strength, as were all of his brothers and sisters. He is the last of what I consider a great family who had a very humble upbringing, but an upbringing that was so full of love and family, and all of them kept that upbringing and the principles they acquired from Papa and Grandma with them all their lives. He will rest in peace knowing that he accomplished so much in life, and left such a heritage to be lived up to, by all of us "cousins". Tom Edge (Longs, SC)

Archie Flowers was a sweet man that provided me with 3 plus years of wonderful companionship and love. We had many laughs, fun, and family get-togethers over that span of time. He was everything I looked for in a Sweetheart. He loved his family, all children, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to sing all the old Country Western Classics while we were driving along. He mostly loved to sing "I'm an Old Cowhand from the Rio Grande". lol He didn't know a stranger and you didn't hint that you needed help - you'd get it whether you wanted it or not. lol He had 63 yrs marriage to his Fay, whom he never quit missing. He and I were able to take away the years of loneliness that haunts many due to the loss of a loved one. Til we meet again, may he rest in peace in the loving "hands" of God.

Uncle Maxie was our uncle that traveled and was considered as "worldly"...He would visit my Mom & Dad and there was much laughter, great conversation and supper with old fashion cooking...Being one of eight kids he added to the variety of examples for us kids to learn from..He asked for little but that one time he did ask me to please send him some pictures of my Mom...saying how she was his sister and he had no picture of her...She had passed 6 months earlier..So, I made him a colledge and mailed it to him...He was so grateful to get them that he personally called to thank me....That is a gentle man..Memories last forever...May all of you childrenenjoy your memories of a man who helped make you all that you are..........Love, Your Cuz- Nancy Solt
