Phenix City, AL- Mr. Archie Smith, Sr., 57, of 155 The Lane, Phenix City, AL passed Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Raymond Cochran, pastor, Rev. Alphonso Turner, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Smith was born December 1, 1955 in Russell County, AL to Kate Williams Smith of Crawford, AL and the late James Smith. He was a member of Canaan A.M.E Church and was the owner of Crawford's Deli.
Survivors other than his mother includes his wife, Chong Smith of Crawford, AL; three daughters, Corrtoria (Arthur) Green and Takeitha (Stanley) Morgan both of Phenix City, AL; Ammie (William) Gosha of Columbus, GA; three sons, Archie (Rose) Smith, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA; Donnie (Shenika) Murray, Jr. of Augusta, GA; James Murray of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Jessie (Johnnie Mae) Smith of Atlanta, GA and Larry Smith of Crawford, AL; four sisters, Bessie Rush and Sandra (James) Geddis both of Columbus, GA; Martha (Orie) Weeks of Smiths Station, AL; Clara (James) Griffin of Prince George, VA; 18 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
