Our condolences to the Anderson family! Such a wonderful and caring person, Arden put others first... always smiling, happy and living life to the fullest! So willing to lend a helping hand to all and eager and ready for a challenge on the tennis court! God Bless you Arden! You will sorely be missed by all of us!

Arden Anderson was a force of nature. He met my father in Egypt when they were both young and adventurous geologists working for Sahara Oil Company in 1955. He has been a close and faithful friend to my parents ever since. What a life! He traveled the world. He made millions, lost millions and made a fortune again. He had a zest for life that was unmatched. Oilman, pilot, tennis player, classical music aficionado, traveler of the world, family man, and dear friend to all who knew him.
He is a testament to strength of character and I will always be inspired by his life. After a long and happy marriage, he lost his wife, Kay, to cancer. He then decided to move from Pensacola, Florida to Lafayette, Louisiana where he immediately made many friends.
Arden had a poem posted in his kitchen. My mom and I jokingly told him that it was corny. But this was not a poem to Arden, it was the way he lived his life fearlessly and full tilt for 89 years.
Ride a wild horse against the sky hold tight to his wings before you die whatever else you leave undone once ride a wild horse into the sun.
