Ardith Boully Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 6, 2024.
Our Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Friend, Ardith Boully, passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 85 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on May 2, 1939, to JC and Pauline Smithee in Pima, Arizona, Ardith grew up in a close-knit family and later graduated from Farmington High School. She proudly served in the Air Force, a testament to her dedication and resilience.

Ardith was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found community and spiritual solace. Her hobbies included bowling, crocheting, and collecting horse figurines and stuffed animals, each reflecting her thoughtful and caring nature.

Ardith spent the last several years of her life at the Alpine Meadow Nursing Home where she was lovingly cared for by the staff. She enjoyed the friendships she made and always looked forward to weekly BINGO.

She is survived by her siblings, Joyce Chapman, Trent (Sherrie), and Paul (Tracey); sister-in-law Dianna Smithee; her children, Danny, Joyce (Bryan) Turner, and Dennis (Jan); and a loving legacy of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, JC and Pauline Smithee; brothers, Arthur and Larry Smithee; sister, Arlene Blake; and special nieces Peggy Wade and Carol Sue Gray.

A gathering for friends and family will be held in Utah at the Greenoaks LDS Building on Saturday, July 13th from 3-5 pm, followed by a family dinner.
