Ardith Lavender Obituary
Ardith married Richard Lavender in 1948, and they were married 66 years. She was preceded in death by Richard, her parents, siblings, and son Curt Lavender. She is survived by daughters Gail Zittel, and Brenda (Randy) Bailey; son Scott (Karen) Lavender; and daughter-in-law Betty Lavender. She was the proud grandmother of Hilary Dodaro, Lisa Graber, Dirk Timmer, Kelly Drew, Jacquelyn Janaky and Rusty Lavender. She also loved her 6 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Jaxon, Briella, Adelyn, Bennett and Nash.
Ardith's career included medical office work, and bookkeeping. She was an active member of the Lemon Bay Garden Club. Her hobbies were gardening, and many types of creative arts and crafts.
Residences included Greenville, MI; Buffalo Grove, IL; North Port, Englewood and Sarasota, Florida. For the last six years she resided happily at Alderman Oaks Senior Facility, where she made many friends, and was active playing cards, Bingo, and other activities.
Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Lemon Bay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment is in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood, Florida.
