Bonnie Mairs

January 22, 2004

Hello to the extended Davidson family,

I want to express both my gratitude in having known your mother and my sorrow at her passing. Wat and Ariel were great friends of my parents, and they were part of our growing up. Ariel steered me to my first job with the Girl Scouts. She was a great role model. I remember when she convinced the United Fund that the per capita support for girls should be the same as that for boys; before that, the Boy Scouts received a larger amount. She and Wat found the site for the Northwoods camps. She leaves a wonderful legacy. I will miss her. My love and sympathy to all of you, Bonnie Mairs
