Arita Bourne

Arita Bourne, 78, of Boyd died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 220 West Reno Road, Azle. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Arita was born Jan. 10, 1933, in Achille, Okla., to J.W. and Avis Pierot. She married the love of her life, Charlie Glenn Bourne, and was happily married for 60 years. They moved to Boyd and made a wonderful life. Charlie and Arita attended Walnut Creek Baptist Church for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Arita will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy Dale Pierot. Survivors: Husband, Charlie Bourne; children, Steve Bourne and wife, Debra, and Karen Hale and husband, Buddy; granddaughters, Christina Hart and husband, Josh, Cynthia Cowan and husband, Robert, and Amanda Bourne; grandsons, Dusty Hale and wife, Kelly, Gregory Bourne and wife, Jackie, and Kevin Bourne; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Alyssa, Arianna, MaKaylia and Levi; sister, Irene Pierot; and numerous loving friends.
