Arleen had that Parisian Contessa from Palm Beach flair, classy brassy joie de vivre that made her so desireable. She spent time helping me write my book. She had a glamorous brain and did something to shoes and jeans that few can. She gave them the cover of Vogue status. You will be missed dear....you are remarkable and irreplaceable. Your enthusiastic courage left a tattoo on my spirit and when I think of you, I am braver. Love Michelle.

Arleen was a very dear friend, an irreverent, sassy, loving, iconic, frequently bitingly witty one-of-a-kind presence, and a very bright light in an often mundane world. I will miss her greatly. My deepest condolences to her adored family, of whom she was always extremely proud.
