Arlene Richards Obituary
Arlene Elizabeth Richards passed Sunday January 25, 2015. Our family finds comfort knowing she is with her beloved husband Neil.
Born April 19, 1930 to Ella Elizabeth White James and James David James in Tooele UT. Graduated from Tooele High School. Met Neil Goodwin Richards at 18. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple June 29, 1949. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2009.
Preceded in death by her parent's, husband and grandson Brandon Richards. Survived by Pamela (Daniel) Kennaley, James (Shauna) Richards, Karen (George) Popien and Neil (Rochelle Colette) Richards.
The family historian, she knew every pregnancy, birth, baptism, graduation, military deployment and marriage no easy task with 15 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
An active member of the LDS Church her entire life. She loved her friends in the Lord. She worked at St. Regis Paper Company retired after 20 years.
Funeral Services Saturday January 31, 2015 at noon Deerfield Ward 4322 S. 5400 W., West Valley. Viewing Friday 6-7:30 PM Valley View Funeral Home 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley UT one hour prior to service Saturday at the Ward 11-11:45 AM. valleyviewfuneral.com.

Dear Aunt Arlene you were the best aunt to all us kids while growing up - will always remember your homemade ice cream. May you rest in peace along side Uncle Neil.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, but from what I've heard and read, she was clearly a very lovely lady. My warmest thoughts are with you all as you celebrate her life and mourn her loss.

Arlene will surely be missed. What a special lady, she was always smiling and asking about how you were doing (very caring). I will miss seeing her driving to and from church in her big blue car. My sympathy to the family and friends of this beautiful lady. Until we meet again sweet friend.
