Arlene was my Aunt. She was always laughing and giggling. She had an infectious smile. We used to spend time at the lake with Arlene & Arne. She would wash her hair in the lake which I always thought was very funny. She was loving and very fun!!

What a dear person was Arline! I'm so grateful she was my next-door neighbor's best friend. Butchie Muscatell introduced me to Arline shortly after we moved to Florida in 1987, and our friendship flourished since then. She was so kind to our children and particularly encouraged me as my mother was terminally ill. ....Only a few of us know how she got the nickname, "Girl of the Streets"....I can just hear her melodically giggle as I write this. ...Many times after dinner and chores around our houses were completed, Butchie and I would call Arline to ask her if she wanted to join us with a raspberry milkshake at Shake Pit. "Sure thing," Arline would say. "I'll meet you on the street." And surely enough, as Butchie and I rounded the corner, there with a beautiful smile on her face would be Arline, standing in the driveway, ready to jump in the car. So we named her our favorite Girl of the Streets.
And how fortunate I was to be invited to celebrate her birthday through the years. The parties would begin December 7th and were known to continue right up until December 25th. She would giggle and say, "That's a much bigger birthday, you know."
R.I.P., Arline.... We love you.
