To my mom,
Words cannot express how empty I feel with you no longer here. I look around the house and see your things, but you are no longer here but in heaven. How I would love to hear one more time, How you doing Tootsie, which you said to all the women in our family. You were a stay at home mom, raising your children, making sure that you cooked a good meal for your family every day. I can still hear you say recently always concerned when you ate if I had eaten also. And I still can hear dad say after, finishing a meal, Your hired for another day.
You had many passions in life, working as a nurse's aide in a nursing home for many years. You were very involved In the Centereach Fire Department as their secretary which you did voluntary. I remember making many trips with you with your love for going to antique shops. Many summers coming to New York, sitting outside your pool and enjoying the weather. However, I think your biggest passion in life was being involved with the raising of Stephanie, your granddaughter.
I remember how you knew I always wanted to go to see Key West, but never could get anyone to go with me. You called me and said you were coming down here and we were going to go to Key West. We did the long 9-hour drive to get there. When we pulled into the place that we were going to stay, and seen the chickens running around, you said, I don't know if we should stay here. But when we checked it out it was a nice place and we enjoyed it. We enjoyed seeing the sunset at Mallory Square.
I remember you going with me to the Cove in Ashville, North Carolina to hear the preaching of the gospel. We also went and visited the Biltmore which was something you had wanted to do for a long time. How I remember having out picture taken, and as we were walking down the ramp, I lost my balance and you were holding on to me making sure I did not fall.
You came down here in 2015 and stayed four months with me and I enjoyed going many places with you. How you loved going to the Brooksville Wesleyan Church to hear their concert series.
You came down here last May to stay for good because you loved Florida and the warm weather. Your physical health over the past year had many issues and challenges that made it difficult to get around. You loved sitting in your recliner and watching TV and your favorite programs.
You knew that belief in accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior was important and you told me that you had done that. You also told one of the chaplains from the Wesleyan Church that you believed in Jesus. John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. This is God's promise. So, rest easy mom, no more pain, no more tears, no more sorrow.
Love always,
Diane

Mom, words cannot express how much I miss you. I will always miss hearing your voice everyday. I hold dear in my heart all the memories I have with you. I take comfort in knowing you are with dad and catching him up on the past 3 years. You have been my best friend my whole life and I have a hugh hole in my heart that will never be filled. I know you are no longer in pain and are at peace which gives me some comfort. I hear your words telling me it will be ok, remember all the good times and go on with your life. I love you Mom, you will always be in my heart. XO Carolyn
