The one thing I can say about Armand for sure is that he knew where he was going. Never, in the 11 years I've known him, did I hear him deny Christ and His Kingdom. Armand suffered enough for 100 men, and now he is in complete Glory, where he deserves to be. I know there are many of you out there that knew Armand for a lot longer than I did and I'm certain you'd agree, he had the faith we all long for. He simply had no doubt. Through all that pain and suffering, he knew God had a place for him. And he was right.
I will proudly tell my children for years to come of the heroic actions their grandfather fearlessly performed, and I will tell them about his love for camping and fishing and of course about how much he loved them, but more than any of these, I will use him as an example of great faith in hard times. In this way, Armand will always be a part of me and my children. Thanks for your example, Armand. I'm greatful to have known you. I'll give the kids a kiss for you.

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband Armand. Your faithfulness, love and courage for him has often given me the strength to stay the course with my vet. May you be comforted in knowing that Armand is with his Lord.

As long as I've known him, he was the kind of man who never tried to be a hero---but always was. I have never seen anyone as strong as my uncle, his strong will to live showed through in everything he did, in every word he spoke and through every new obsticle he overcame. He could have never done this without My aunt Cindy. She stood beside him every day regardless if it was endless days in the hospital or at home. I want to thank her for all that she did for my uncle, he was truley blessed to be married to such a wonderful woman, a woman of courage and so much love. It is going to be tough to fathom the fact that we lost a loved one but he is home now.....his brothers took him home.
I love you auntie....stay strong
*Its never goodbye he will always be with us in our thoughts, in our dreams, and in our hearts.
Forever love *jennie*

Cindy & Boys I'm sorry to hear about Armand. I hope that this well help in some way! I'ts all i can give to you & the boys. All my love & prayers are with you.
He has not really left you-
he has only gone away
on a long and different journey...
and you'll meet again one day...
He has not really left you-
though it seems you had to part,
take comfort that you'll always find him hidden in your heart...
Accept these words of sympathy,
sent with such warmth today-
And remember, in your saddest hours,
He has only gone away.

I cried quite a bit while reading all the wonderful things that people had to say about you, Armand and your love and care of him. I only regret that I never got to know this wonderful man and even got to know you better. The little contact that you and I have had recently has been special. I always enjoy talking with you. You really are a true inspiration to many people. The peace that you have in the midst of many battles is truly remarkable. You have fought a good battle, God has given you the strength throughout all these years because He knew that He could count on you to do it right and to the best of your abilities. I sure wish I could be up there right now and give you a big hug, but unfortunately that will not happen right now. Please believe me that we would love to have you come and visit with us if you ever so desire.
God bless you abundantly,
With love in Christ,
Cousin Jimmy

Dear Cindy,
I was deeply touched as I read the messages your friends wrote of Armand, his life and your love for him. I am proud to say you've been my friend since I met you during our sophmore year at Lynn English High School in the fall of 1965. Little did we truly know back then.
You showed the world how deply you loved Armand when you secretly married him while still a high school student and have spent every day of your life since then being his soul-mate, building a family and home with him. He was indeed blessed to have you as his loving wife.
Jesus said, "I will never leave or forsake you". It's reassuring to know Armand is with the King if Kings.
Love,
Bobbie

Cindy,
I wish I was able to be there with you to help you though all of this. Even though I only knew Armand from what you'd say or from speaking with him on the phone, he was one wonderful man that had so much suffering on this earth. He is now out of pain and with his brothers and knowing him he is probably up there riding harleys with them. LOL. I love ya, Sis !
Big Hugs.

Cindy, Johnny and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. I was lucky enough to chat with Armand on the phone a couple of times and what a character he was. Even at his sickest, he was telling me to tell Johnny to call him anytime to talk - a true Vietnam vet brother. Your love and devotion to him - what a privilege to behold. He was a lucky man. I wish we could be there in person, but know we are there in spirit and are holding you and your family in our hearts.

I never met him, yet I knew him well.
He served in a place called Vietnam and he never quite came home again.
At last he stands amongst friends once more, his family on earth has him no more.
His body has had it but his soul lives on. He is laughing no doubt at the tears we shed.
The first and last verse of a poem I quote in his honour.
"The Final Inspection" by unknown author
" The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
just as brightly as his brass.
...............
Step forward now, you soldier
You've borne your burdens well,
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell"
Enjoy yourself Armand.

Cindy - My heart aches for you and Armand, but I'm proud to have known you these past few years. I'll never forget being called *the Deer Lady.* The battle was longer than either of you knew it would be, but through it all you have shown the qualities of a true Vetwife: love, perseverence, patience, loyalty, pride, faithfulness. Every time you spoke of Armand, even when life was very difficult for you, your love and pride in him came through. He was blessed to have you as his wife, and I feel blessed to have you as a friend.

Cindy,
My heart aches for you, dear friend. I've never known anyone who is as strong and inspiring, someone who, in all the turmoil and pain you've helped Armand go through, always has time to be there for others in need. You are truly an angel, dear friend. Your love for Armand and your sons and your complete devotion to Armand's care over the past few years I've known you have humbled me.
I've never known anyone with as much love and heart as you.
God Bless you friend. I'm so proud to know you and call you friend.
Armand is free of pain now and smiling down as an angel on your shoulder.
Love you friend,
Linda N.
