Armando Lopez Abila, 47, of Altus, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Altus. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Larry Ortega officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Armando was born on March 15, 1968 in Altus to Herman Avila, Jr. and Elizabeth Lopez Abila. He grew up in Altus and worked various jobs for a number of years. He married Linda Gallardo in Vernon, Texas on Aug. 13, 2004. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo, traveling and spending time with his kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, Paul Abila; and a brother, Burk Basaldua.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; four children, Brandon Olson and Michael Olson and wife Kaitlin Long, all of Altus, and Ashley and AJ, both of Michigan; one grandson, Anthony; his mother-in-law, Sisila Gallardo of Altus; five siblings, Adolph Abila and wife Cecilia of Altus, Paul Abila, Jr. and wife Scarlett of Virginia, Rachel Abila of Altus, Paulette Abila Hernandez and husband Julian of Altus, and Reuben Abila of Altus; two godsons, Shawn Rico and Julian Ring; and many other family and friends.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Days Inn to the South or Western Sizzlin' to the North.
