Arnold Wayne Rutherford

So sorry to hear about Wayne (Colonel) . Joann an Wayne were good friends of my parents growing up on Valley Street. I was always at there home with the boys,they treated me as their own.
I loved to hear Colonel sing Old Christian hymns The Old Rugged Cross comes to my mind that he would sing the most ,we had great times.
Rest In Peace my friend the memories of You and Joann I will cherish. love you always .

Wayne was always a kind inspiration and his children and their families will always be friends regardless of the years or the distance. I was always amazed at his creative ability and visits to his shop helped instill an interest in woodworking that stays with me to this day. Many times my memory returns the great times shared, especially in the choir at First Freewill Baptist. Greatest love to the family in this difficult time.

Our condolences to the family. We have fond memories of our fellowship with him and all the family at First Freewill Baptist Church and very much enjoyed hearing him sing.

I will always be grateful for Wayne when my husband was ill. He told me to take care of myself because being a caregiver was hard. . He was a very intelligent man and Charles liked him very much. He spent a holiday with us once and told me I knew how to make homemade biscuits just right. He was born in Harlan County Ky. as I was and we shared stories of growing up. I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad God allowed Wayne to come into our lives.
